With tomato season in full swing we are swimming in delicious tomatoes right now. So we are offering a bulk discount on our heirloom tomatoes. When you pre-order 10 pounds it is just $40, a savings of $10 compared to our per pound price for heirloom tomatoes. This is great when you are feeding a crowd or are looking to put up tomatoes for the winter.

If 10 pounds is too much for what you need, our heirloom tomato seconds are still a deal at $2.50 per pound. You can get as little as 1 pound which is typically two good sized medium tomatoes. The seconds will have bumps and bruises so they need to be used in a day or two otherwise they will start going bad.

Even though our focus this time of year is harvesting out in the field we are still doing a bit of work in the greenhouse. We have seedlings available for your summer garden like basil, sunflowers, and zucchini. Plus seedlings for your fall garden including cabbage, leeks, onions, and lettuce. We have started some broccoli, pac choy, and cauliflower seedlings but they are still too small, needing another week or two in the greenhouse.
Our special this Saturday at the farmers’ market will be a Grilled Octopus Taco. This tender octopus is served on a warm corn tortilla and garnished with pico de gallo. If you love seafood you will fall head over heels for this special taco, as it tastes kind of scallopy and crabby at the same time.
If you can’t get to the market until lunch time and you are worried we might have run out of your favorite take home items like guacamole, pico de gallo, or ceviche don’t forget that you can pre-order these through our online shop. When you place your order before Thursday at 8pm we make your order especially for you and have it waiting for you when you arrive at the Saturday Easton farmers’ market. See you at the market!
