From Our Greenhouse to Your Garden

There’s nothing quite like the buzz of a Saturday morning at the Easton farmers’ market. The air smells like fresh flowers, breakfast tacos, and possibility. It’s not just about shopping, it’s about community, connection, and the joy of eating something that was grown or made just a few miles away.

At Quarter Acre Farm, we love being part of that rhythm. Every week, we show up with a table full of seedlings, handmade food, and a lot of enthusiasm for feeding our neighbors. This weekend, we’re especially excited our greenhouse is absolutely bursting with life!

Local Seedlings

Our certified organic seedlings are grown right here on the farm in our greenhouse. That means they’re already acclimated to our local climate and soil conditions, giving your garden a head start and setting you up for success. Whether you’re planting tomatoes, herbs, or pollinator-friendly flowers, you’ll find that plants raised close to home are hardier and more productive.

We’re adding new seedlings and varieties to our lineup weekly, but many of our most sought-after plants like edible flowers sell out fast. Some never even make it to the market table. Want first dibs? Place an order through our online shop and pick it up at the market. It’s the best way to make sure you get exactly what your garden needs.

And of course, there’s plenty to eat too. Our special taco this week is the Denver Taco: chopped ham, sweet peppers, onions, and scrambled eggs on a warm corn tortilla with fresh pico de gallo. It’s our twist on a classic Denver omelet, and a longtime customer favorite.

Celebration Supplies

Looking ahead to Cinco de Mayo? We’ve got you covered:

  • Fresh pico de gallo
  • Guacamole made from perfectly ripe avocados
  • Blue catfish ceviche (tasty and eco-friendly, as eating it helps reduce invasive species in the Chesapeake Bay)

Don’t forget to grab our frozen ready-to-heat meal. This Saturday we will have Chicken Mole with Rice. It features tender chicken thighs in a rich, smoky mole sauce with just the right amount of spice, served with fluffy rice and topped with queso fresco. Just heat and enjoy!

Whether you’re planting a garden or planning a feast, we’ve got something delicious for you.

Come see us this Saturday at the Easton farmers’ market from 8 AM to 12 PM. And if you love to garden, don’t wait, shop online now to reserve the best seedlings for your backyard bounty. Your future harvest will thank you.
