Dads love a good project, a great meal, and a pun that makes everyone groan. Lucky for you, we’ve got all three covered this Saturday at the Easton farmers’ market.
First Up: The Garden Goodies
After a long spring of coaxing seeds and muttering encouraging words to our seed trays (hey, it works), we’re finally ready to share our sweet pepper and eggplant seedlings with the world. These two divas took their sweet time, but they’ve arrived looking strong and ready for action. You might say they’re planting their roots in the spotlight.

And for the gardener looking to dig a little deeper, we have sweet potato slips available in limited supply (they are only available through pre-order in our online shop). Never grown them before? They’re sprouted baby vines that grow into full-blown sweet potato plants. Think of them as the ultimate Father’s Day DIY: dig, water, wait, harvest, brag to your neighbors.

Fresh Flavors, No Grill Required
Speaking of bragging rights, our kitchen crew (a.k.a. Juan Carlos) is cooking up a weekend menu that’ll make even the dad who “doesn’t need anything” change his tune.
Take-home meal for June 14th: Achiote-marinated chicken breast with roasted broccoli and fresh pico de gallo. It’s the same savory seasoning we use in our grilled chicken tacos. This take-home meal is bold, satisfying, and best of all ready to heat and eat. Just like dad’s favorite leftovers, but way better.
Saturday’s taco special: Scrapple & Egg Taco: crispy scrapple topped with a fluffy scrambled egg, served on a warm corn tortilla and garnished with our signature pico. It’s the breakfast taco equivalent of dad mowing the lawn before 9am: classic, satisfying, and oddly impressive.
Shop, Snack, and Celebrate Dad
And don’t worry we’re not short on dad jokes. In fact, here’s one on the house: Why did the tomato turn red? Because it couldn’t ketchup to the peppers! (Sorry. We had to.)
So grab your favorite father figure (or just your favorite market tote) and swing by Quarter Acre Farm’s booth this Saturday. Whether you’re planting a garden or planting yourself in front of a taco, we’ll help you make it a weekend to remember.
