Spring is in full swing, but you wouldn’t know it from the cold and wind that greeted us at last week’s market. Still, we bundled up, fired up the grill, and had a great first day back at the Easton Farmers’ Market! Last Saturday marked our first market of the 2025 season, and it felt so good to be back in the heart of town, serving up tacos, chatting with familiar faces, and welcoming the start of another beautiful market year.

This weekend, why not make the farmers’ market part of your Easter celebration? Whether you’re gathering with family and friends or just soaking up the spring vibes, a morning at the market is a joyful way to kick off your holiday weekend.
A Peek Behind the Scenes at the Farm
Back at Quarter Acre Farm, things are buzzing! Our annual shipment of wooden tongue depressors has arrived (yes, really), and we go through thousands every year. They’re not for first aid kits, they’re for labeling our seedlings. These biodegradable markers break down in your soil over time, just like the fiber pots we use. It’s all part of our commitment to grow thoughtfully and minimize waste.

We don’t just grow food, we grow with intention. As a certified organic farm, we never use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Instead, we focus on healthy soil, happy pollinators, and a thriving ecosystem that includes our woods and wetlands. Everything we do is hands-on, small scale, and rooted in care for the land, the people who eat our food, and the community we’re proud to be part of.

What’s Fresh This Week
This Saturday, April 19th, is our second market of the season, and we’re bringing all the good stuff for your Easter weekend table:
- Spring Seedlings: Onions, leeks, arugula, chard, peas, and more. All cool-weather lovers, perfect for early spring planting.
- Hot Food: Egg and cheese tacos, grilled chicken tacos, seasonal veggie tacos, bacon quesadillas, and a special treat: grilled octopus tacos.
- Take-Home Eats: Our ready-to-heat frozen meal this week is a grilled boneless pork loin chop with mixed roasted sweet potatoes and a side of gravy.
Hosting a gathering? Our fresh pico de gallo and guacamole are the perfect additions to your Easter spread. We recommend pre-ordering to make sure you don’t miss out.

Early Bird Special, 8 to 9 AM
Come early and score 2 tacos for just $10. It’s a great way to fuel up while beating the crowds.

See You Saturday

Happy Easter and happy spring! 💚
