It is hard to believe but this week we had both our last CSA pick up and farmers’ market of the 2013 season.
Once again its seems the year has just flown by.
The season started with radishes, found its way to cucumbers, arrived at tomatoes, hung around with carrots and now departs with winter squash.
There is a little bit more work to be done in the field before I go on my holiday break. Old plants to be mowed down, garlic to be planted, and cover crop to be spread. Soon I’ll be cracking open those beautiful seed catalogs and making my crop plan for 2014.
