How is it the End of Summer?

I can’t believe it is the end of August, where has the summer gone? But with the end of summer comes the tasty flavors of fall!

The winter squash is looking gorgeous, many different varieties are sizing up and soon will be finished ripening.  Some of the popcorn is ready for harvesting, I hope to harvest about half of the popcorn patch this week.  Then the ears will be bunched and hung on the rafters for further drying.

The tomatoes are still producing at a steady clip and should continue until about Thanksgiving depending on the weather.
