We took advantage of the lovely Sunday weather and started to plant our heirloom garlic. We got four 100 foot beds planted and we plan to get more in the ground in a few weeks. By spacing out the planting we are attempting to extend our garlic scape season in the spring so we can have as many weeks as possible filled with garlicky goodness.

If you are thinking of adding garlic to your winter garden you still have time. In our region you can plant garlic until the end of December as long as the ground hasn’t frozen solid. Our heirloom hardneck garlic that we sell for eating can be used for planting but since we do not store it as a seed company would store seed stock, it is possible that some of the cloves might not produce garlic heads. Currently we have 5 varieties of garlic available for eating or planting, head over to our online shop to read the details of each variety.

Speaking of varieties we still have 5 varieties of sweet potatoes available in pretty colors of orange, white, and purple. This Saturday the only produce we will be bringing to the farmers’ market is our garlic and sweet potatoes. No raw peanuts because thanks to all the peanut sales at last week’s market and online orders we have totally sold out of our first peanut harvest! We have been so thrilled to see that other folks are as excited as we are for local peanuts. So we are definitely planning to plant more peanuts in 2025.
It is almost time for our annual Post-Thanksgiving Brunch! This weekend after you’ve grown tired of turkey and leftovers head to the Easton farmers’ market. And bring your family and out of town guests along with you … as long as you aren’t tired of them. 😉

We have a delicious brunch-y menu planned for you. We are making Baked French Toast topped with a sweet caramel sauce, Cochinita Torta aka Yucatan Pulled Pork Sandwich, Scrapple & Egg Taco, and Sweet Potato Coconut Soup. Plus our normal beloved menu.

As a small way to say thanks to all our wonderful customers for a great season, every order (at the market or placed online for pick up) for November 30th will get our grey farm tote bag or a drink of their choice for free! For drinks we will have our delicious hot cocoa, our refreshing lemonade, plus canned iced tea, cola, and ice coffee (mocha, churro, and cold brew).
Brunch is gonna be great and we really hope you can join us! If you need another reason to head to the market just remember that we only have 3 markets left before we go on our winter break aka hibernate until April.

To make sure you don’t miss out on any of our take home items like pico de gallo, guacamole, or soup you can place your order ahead of time so it will be waiting for you no matter if you get to the market at 8am or 12pm.
We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with food and gratitude. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday at our annual Post-Thanksgiving Brunch.
