What a Saturday we had on June 6th! The market was buzzing and we were so grateful for the incredible turnout. We sold out of most of our take-home items by 11am, which is a great reminder: if you have your heart set on something specific, the best way to guarantee it is waiting for you is to place your order ahead of time at quarter-acre.com/shop. It takes just a few minutes and makes your Saturday morning completely stress free.
Garlic Scapes and Pesto: The Final Stretch

Garlic scape season is one of the shortest of the year and we are in the final stretch. We will have scapes by the bunch and our fresh garlic scape pesto by the container this Saturday, but we cannot guarantee they will be available after this week. It is possible we could get one more week but we highly suggest you stock up while you can. And remember, our pesto freezes beautifully, so grab an extra container and enjoy that garlic scape flavor long after the season has ended.
This Week’s Taco Special: Pork Entomatada Taco
Chef Juan Carlos is bringing something rich and deeply satisfying to the menu this Saturday. Tender slow-cooked pork smothered in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce, served on a warm corn tortilla and garnished with diced cilantro and onion. Bold, comforting, and not to be missed.
Take-Home Frozen Meal: Beer-Brined Pork Ribs with Roasted White Sweet Potatoes
This Saturday’s ready-to-heat frozen meal is a real treat: pork ribs brined in beer, lime juice, salt, and black pepper, then grilled to perfection and served with roasted white sweet potatoes and a garnish of pico de gallo. A complete, satisfying meal with almost no effort on your end. Pick it up at the booth, take it home, and heat it up whenever you are ready.
Sweet Corn Seedlings Are Back in the Shop

We have heard from a few of you asking about sweet corn seedlings and yes, we have them! Two open-pollinated heirloom varieties are available now at quarter-acre.com/shop.
Luther Hill White is a rare 1902 heirloom from New Jersey, one of the parents of Silver Queen, and widely regarded as the sweetest open-pollinated corn most folks have ever tasted.
Who Gets Kissed is a compact bi-colored variety with excellent flavor and an extended harvest window. Both come in 3-inch fiber pots with 5 seedlings in each pot for $5.00. Order ahead to make sure a pot is waiting for you at the booth on Saturday.
What Is Happening in the Field
Out in the field the cherry tomato plants are sizing up and looking great. We are still at least a month away from the first harvest, but the plants are putting in the work. We are also just starting to transplant our second succession of tomatoes, so if your garden still needs a few more plants it is absolutely not too late. We still have a nice selection of tomato seedlings available in our online shop alongside everything else.
And speaking of everything else: we have a tremendous fresh selection available right now across seedlings, take-home items, produce, and merch. What we bring to the booth on Saturday is just a sample of what is available in our online shop, so browsing ahead of time is always the best way to get exactly what you want.
Order Online for Market Pickup
Place your order at quarter-acre.com/shop by Thursday, June 11th at 8pm for Saturday pickup. If you prefer to shop in person, plan to arrive before 10am for the best selection. Last week things moved fast, don’t say we did not warn you 😉
We cannot wait to see you this Saturday, June 13th, 8am to 12pm at the Easton farmers’ market, rain or shine. Come early and bring someone you love, those seedling trays are not going to carry themselves!
