We have been waiting all season for this crop, and this week it is finally here, two of them, actually!

Tomato Season Has Officially Begun
Look what we found in the field this week: our cherry tomatoes have begun to ripen. After months of planting, transplanting, and watching those plants grow, tomato season is finally here.

This Saturday we will have a few pints at the booth, just a few, because only a handful of rows are ready right now. But this is how it always starts, and from here the harvest will build week by week all the way through Halloween. If you want to snag one of these first pints of the season, get to the market early or place your pre-order now at quarter-acre.com/shop. These will not last long.
Surprise Early Arrival: Heirloom Garlic
Here is some exciting news we did not see coming quite this soon: our heirloom garlic is cured and ready, and we will be bringing our first variety to the market this Saturday.
Georgian Crystal is one of the best-tasting porcelain garlics you will ever come across, known for its superb, full flavor and beautiful large cloves. This is the garlic you reach for when you want the real thing, and we are thrilled to be bringing it to the booth earlier than expected.

Last Chance: Delaware Purple Sweet Potatoes and Luffa Sponges
Two beloved booth staples are running low and will not be restocked until later in the season.
We are down to our final supply of Delaware Purple sweet potatoes for the season. These beauties have a distinctive purple-red skin with smooth, slightly sweet white flesh and are wonderful roasted, mashed, or baked. Once they are gone, they are gone until fall.
Our farm-grown luffa sponges are also getting low. Once we sell out we will not have more until we harvest our luffa gourds in late October. They are 100% biodegradable and range in size from 5 to 11 inches, perfect for the bath or kitchen sink. Grab them while they last at quarter-acre.com/shop.
This Week’s Taco Special: Chorizo Taco
Juan Carlos is serving up one of our most requested flavors this Saturday: sautéed beef chorizo with onions, served on a warm corn tortilla and topped with our fresh pico de gallo. Want to take it to the next level? Add a scrambled egg and make it a true breakfast taco.
Take-Home Frozen Meal: Pesto Pasta with Meatballs
Dinner is covered this Saturday: tender handmade meatballs served with penne pasta tossed in our seasonal garlic scape pesto. Comforting, garlicky, and ready to heat whenever you are hungry. A perfect summer evening meal with almost no effort required.
Seedlings Still Available
We still have a wonderful selection of certified organic flower and vegetable seedlings available for pre-order at quarter-acre.com/shop. Browse the full list of and place your order for Saturday pickup.
Order Online for Market Pickup
Place your order at quarter-acre.com/shop by Thursday, July 9th at 8pm for Saturday pickup. If you prefer to shop in person, plan to arrive right when the market opens at 8am for the best selection.
This Saturday feels like a milestone. The cherry tomatoes are finally here. The heirloom garlic is finally here. These are the two crops we have been tending, watching, and talking about all spring and early summer, and this weekend they both land on the same Saturday at the Easton farmers’ market. We could not be more excited and we hope you will come celebrate with us. It is going to be a great morning.
