Fall is Here

Thanks to everyone that came out to this past Saturday’s farmers market. We are a rain or shine vendor so we were out in the rainy windy weather serving tacos and selling produce. You can always expect us and other vendors to be at the Easton farmers market, no matter what the weather is.

With the arrival of fall it is time to start harvesting our gourds. This year in the field we are growing colorful warty ones and big green ones. This week many of the warty ones were ready and we will have those available for sale by the piece. But stay tuned as the fresh big green gourds will be on our online shop and at the farmers market soon they just need another week or two. In the meantime our dried birdhouse gourds are available. These fully cured birdhouse gourds are perfect for all your craft projects and are great for decorating your front porch or counter top.

We still have lots of tomatoes, so this week we will continue to have a sale on our small tasty heirloom tomatoes at just $3 per pound. We will also have larger heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes available too.

This week’s special at the farmers market will be our Chorizo Taco. We use beef chorizo which is a ground sausage that is rich with smoky chili notes and a vivid red hue. We saute it with onions then serve it on a warm corn tortilla garnished with pico de gallo. If you want it to scream breakfast you can always add an egg and bacon for extra yumminess!

Even during this recent stormy farmers market we sold out of our ceviche. So if you want to make sure you get your share of our delicious take home items: pico de gallo, guacamole, or ceviche we highly recommend you place your order ahead of time through our online shop. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday.
