Spring is fully underway here at Quarter Acre Farm, and we’re deep in the rhythm of the season. We are continually starting seeds, potting up seedlings, prepping beds, planting tomatoes out in the field, and making sure there’s something fresh and delicious for your table each week. All this work allows us to bring you the freshest plants and meals each Saturday.

Garden Superstars Are Back in the Shop!
Two of our most beloved seedlings are now available in our online store:
🥒 Tromboncino Zucchini
Tromboncino is a climbing summer squash that grows like a winter squash with long, pale green fruits that are tender, flavorful, and not the least bit watery. It’s highly resistant to squash vine borers and squash bugs, making it a go-to for organic gardens. Just give it a good trellis and it will reward you with loads of beautiful fruit all summer long. It thrives in full sun with well-draining soil, and regular harvesting will keep the plant productive throughout the season.

🧽 Luffa Gourd
Yes, these are the luffas you use in the shower! And yes, you can grow them yourself. These vigorous vines produce long green gourds that dry out into natural sponges which are great for scrub-a-dub-dubbing. Bonus: they’re super pest-resistant and incredibly satisfying to harvest. Just be sure to give them plenty of sun, warmth, and something sturdy to climb. They will love a tall trellis or fence. Start them in warm soil and be patient once they get going, they really take off!

In addition to these fan favorites, our online shop is bursting with other seedlings ready to get growing in your garden: herbs like mint and dill, tasty greens like swiss chard and arugula, plus tomatoes, tomatillos, beans, cucumbers, marigolds and more.

What’s for Dinner?

This Saturday’s ready-to-heat meal is perfect for a no-fuss dinner. We’re serving up Beer-Brined Pork Ribs, slowly grilled after soaking in a brine of beer, lime juice, salt, and pepper. They come with a side of roasted sweet potatoes and a fresh garnish of pico de gallo.
Each portion is designed for one person, but if you pair it with a salad or another side, you could easily stretch it to feed two. All our ready-to-heat meals are cooked fresh the day before market, frozen for your convenience, and ready to pop into your microwave or oven when you need a delicious, homemade dinner with zero prep.
🌶️ More Delicious Prepared Foods This Week:
