Out in the greenhouse, we are getting ready for one of the most exciting Saturdays of the spring season: the arrival of our summer seedlings to the Easton farmers’ market. And it is happening this Saturday, April 25th!
Summer Seedlings Are Here
In addition to cherry and heirloom tomatoes, we will also have tomatillos, eggplant, peppers, and summer squash seedlings. Right now we have 11 cherry tomato varieties and 10 heirloom tomato varieties ready, with more on the way. Quantities on some varieties are limited, so we strongly encourage you to place your order online ahead of time to make sure you get exactly what you want.
We still have a lovely selection of cool-weather seedlings that are perfectly happy in these spring temperatures, including mustard greens, onions, parsley, and more. This Week’s Taco Special: Cochinita
This Saturday’s taco special is a real treat and one of Juan Carlos’ all-time favorites. Cochinita is a traditional Yucatán specialty: a pork butt marinated in achiote and citrus, slow-roasted wrapped in banana leaves until meltingly tender, then served on warm corn tortillas and topped with pickled purple onions for a burst of bright, tangy flavor. Deeply flavorful, incredibly juicy, and unlike anything else on the menu. Trust us, you do not want to miss this one.
Take-Home Frozen Meal: Chicken Verde Enchiladas
Our ready-to-heat frozen meal for this Saturday is a real crowd pleaser. Shredded chicken with sauteed onions wrapped in corn tortillas, covered in a mild green tomatillo sauce with a touch of heat, and topped with a delicious blend of cheeses. We Are Hiring: Farm Field Assistant
We are looking for a Farm Field Assistant to join our crew this season, and we would love to find someone from right here in our community. If you love being outside, enjoy working with your hands, and want to learn what it really takes to grow organic vegetables, this might be the perfect fit.

Pre-orders must be placed by Thursday, April 23th at 8pm. If you prefer to do all your shopping in person, plan to arrive at the market before 10am for the best selection.
